Adecco is hiring for a several ‘On-Call Administrative Assistant’ positions in the Peel region (Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon & Orangeville). To qualify for this role, you must have 1-year administrative experience working in an office environment. Must be able to present a clear ‘Vulnerable Police Check’ and be flexible to work part-time or full-time on a short notice (on the same day). Pay rate for this position is $15.50/hour.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for generating various reports, internal and external to the school, including compiling data and information, photocopying and distributing, as required
  • Maintain records for staff re: bus operators and student parking. Issues permits for same
  • Participate and assist at school opening and closing procedures
  • Set up staff mailboxes
  • Record and assist in coordination of supply teachers, ensuring they receive lesson plans
  • Respond to inquiries, maintain good customer relations and solve problems
  • Perform related clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and
  • Provides secretarial support for the Principal of the school
  • Taking notes/phone calls from parents and students regarding the student’s daily attendance in school
  • Issuing admit slips to class
  • Obtain, enter and maintain attendance information accurately into the Student Information Systems
  • Maintain regular communication with both administration and faculty as necessary, in order to ensure the accuracy of attendance data and information.
  • Maintains and ensures Safe Arrival Program is accurate and completed in timely manner
  • Contacts parents/guardians for absence verification to ensure student safety when necessary
  • Organizes and orders Standard Supplies for teachers and office
  • Receives and distributes shipments to ensure correct allocation
  • Provide assistance when injuries occur and inform parents/guardians of accidents or illness in accordance with school protocol
  • Monitors outgoing calls made by students
  • Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills while maintaining high quality customer-service 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient PC skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a team player and able to work effectively in a demanding, fast paced environment
  • Flexible to report to work on a short notice (within 1-2 hours
