Adecco is currently recruiting for a full-time Operations Administrator in Port Moody, BC, to work a 1- year contract at a well-established energy company majoring in the production of synthetic crude from oil sands. This position will be strictly administrative with no field work. This is a supportive role and vacation relief for the Product Handling Coordinator.

  • Location: Port Moody, BC
  • Shifts: Monday - Friday | 8 hours per day
  • Job type: Full-time | 1-year contract
  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the tank farm inventories and product movements
  • Coordinates batches with different parties, regarding specifications, volumes and timing
  • Issues clear, precise receipt batch orders to Operating Technicians
  • Ensures all finished products are received (imports), blended on time and on spec by issuing clear, concise Blending orders to Operating Technicians, and Pumping/Shipping orders to Operating Techs, Gauger Receiver and Laboratory Technicians
  • Handles certification of all finished products on a timely basis
  • Coordinates with the Gauger/Receiver and the Scheduler
  • Coordinates marine and Lougheed transfers
  • Works closely with Senior Advisor, Fuels for Western Canada and Product Supply personnel
  • Maintains chemical inventories up to date
  • Responds to calls after hours as required to address quality, process, scheduling or lab issues
  • Certifies final blends as required on off hours
  • Orders chemicals, services and supplies through Fieldglass and Ariba
  • Supports ISO 9001:2015 Process with documentation control support
  • Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • 3-5 years of Oil and Gas refinery or Terminal administration is required
  • Scheduling and blending experience is a must
  • Inventory Control and Accounting Analysis background knowledge are required
  • Should have strong computer skills including MS Office, SAP,  Honeywell, and LIMS
  • Strong analytical skills are crucial for success
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
