Adecco are currently hiring for an Operations Assistant for our client, an independent tust company based in downtown Vancouver. 

You will be an integral part of our Vancouver team. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for managing and executing operations requests. This will include processing incoming transfers, account transactions, dividend and tax inquiries, corporate actions and issuers requests. Beyond your day-to-day responsibilities you will be working along side the executive team to think of new ways to achieve greater organizational efficiencies, deliver exceptional service, simplify our operations and support new clients. Were looking for someone who has experience in the industry (but often thinks about ways things can be done better), is known for their work ethic and can do attitude and considers themselves to be an entrepreneurial team player.

Key Accountabilities

  • Reliable, good attention to detail and efficient
  • Maintain a strong focus on retention and growth by delivering exceptional service
  • Process incoming transfer requests including reviewing for transferability, recording receipt or auditing as demand requires
  • Manage all day-to-day interactions with shareholders, brokerage firms and financial institutions with a focus on efficient service
  • Assist client services with shareholder meetings including; mailings, proxy tabulation, and scrutineering
  • Facilitate client requests and general inquiries, including preparation of reports, treasury orders, audit confirmations, dividend payouts, etc.
  • Complete general administrative duties such as banking, mail distribution, and outgoing deliveries.

 Skills and Experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Solutions based attitude
  • Attention to detail and takes pride in their work
  • Enjoys working with a small, closely knit team in a fastpaced environment
  • Completion of Canadian Securities and similar courses is preferred, but not essential
  • Strong proficiency with Office 365 (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), and other desktop applications
  • A good working knowledge of the securities industry and capital markets is required
