Operations Clerk

Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, full-time Operations Clerk in Brampton, ON to work for our client, a world-class supply chain and logistics companny. In this role, you will be responsible for providing operational support to areas of the supply chain or operations, such entering and reviewing operational information, utilizing databases and systems to locate and verify information, and preparing documents for supply chain needs. If you have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a logistics/transportation environment and you are proficient in Microsoft Office, this job is for you!

  • Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and reviewing documents for accuracy, such as dates, times, location, counts and related information
  • Entering operational/customer transportation data in software systems and applications, such as purchase order and shipping and logistics times, rates, dates, and details.   
  • Utilizing databases and providing reports, logs, and other sources to locate and verify information
  • Reviewing and preparing forms, labels, billing, invoices and related documents to ensure timely awareness for processing
  • Tracking orders and information through systems, vendors and related sources, such as arrival, times, confirmation and similar details.
  • Responding to internal and external customer questions, providing information and escalating needs as required
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and a safe and effective work environment
  • Assiststing with identifying potential operational or service concerns, notifying appropriate co-workers and assisting with resolving
  • Developing and maintaining excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times, such as working collaboratively, providing timely communications and instruction and assisting with operations as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED, college diploma preferred
  • Two years of office experience in a logistics/transportation environment
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Understanding of operational and support principles and practices in a related supply chain environments
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, web-based and job specific software applications, AS400
  • Ability to enter, review and verify documentation and information, and capable of preparing logs, reports and documents
  • Capable of operating in a fast pace environment and in both a team and individual contributor environment.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
