Operations Manager

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

Adecco is currently hiring for an Operations Manager position in Burnaby, BC.

Our client is a hardware solutions provider, employing over 2900 enthusiastic team members across North America.

The successful candidate will be someone who can provide direction and guidance to a range of departments, whilst delivering expected facility and corporate operational results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides training, direction and management to area managers and supervisors to accomplish operating results, keeping within the budgetary constraints.
  • Communicate and work closely with staff to help provide information, answer questions/concerns and to ensure all common objectives are achieved.
  • Report all daily and monthly key indicator results to the Director of Operations.
  • Promotes and inspires teamwork by maintaining sound employee relations between the management/supervisory teams and maintaining a highly engaged workforce.
  • Work closely with the facility manager and safety manager to support teams by effectively maintaining equipment and ensuring all staff are appropriately trained on specific functions.
  • Evaluates and recommends significant enhancements to systems, processes, equipment, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and customer service levels to ensure facility performance objectives are met.
  • Develop Preliminary annual budgets.
  • Takes proactive measures to identify and minimize risks by ensuring consistent enforcement of all safety standards and policies.

 

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or the equivalent in education and experience.
  • Five years related experience in a high volume automated multi-shift distribution center. Experience in a facility that uses conveyers, RF scanning, and pick-to-ship container methods preferred.
  • Candidates with knowledge of Enterprise One (JDE) and/or Manhattan Warehouse Management System would be considered more desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of inventory control and traffic management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Windows
  • In depth knowledge of complex automated distribution.
  • Proven ability to manage change
