We are currently recruiting for an Operations Specialist for our client who will be responsible for aspects of administration, processing and management of client information and transaction flow, including various reconciliation functions. The Operations Specialist is a 14-month contract in Winnipeg.
Operations Specialist Responsibilities:
Provide processing and support as well as oversight of all high net worth processing requirements, actively monitoring all account activity including, but not limited to, timeliness of transactions, accuracy of reporting, and overall quality of data
Respond to manager-initiated contacts regarding client account issues and reporting
Assist in carrying out various compliance requirements for the firm about assigned institutional clients
Provide oversight for and carry out specific requirements to produce quarterly client statement report
Develop, document and coordinate the implementation of new procedures / policies / computer enhancements intended to meet new requirements or improve current customer service
Support other administrative functions of the department and other duties as required
Operations Specialist Qualifications:
University degree in Commerce, Finance or a related discipline or a suitable combination of experience and formal education
3 years investment industry experience/knowledge gained at a broker or wealth management firm dealing with institutional and/or high net worth clients in a or direct experience in dealing with securities held in custody at an external financial institution
Completion of the Canadian Securities Course would be an asset
Bilingual ability (French/English) would be an asset
