Adecco is currently hiring for a temp to perm Order Desk Associate for our client located in the East end of Ottawa. To qualify for this position, you must be bilingual with a strong customer service and sales background, ability to multi-task, ability to work up to 9.5 hours days and have a clear criminal background. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, team oriented, have a positive attitude, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The shifts for this role are 4X 9.5 hour day shifts during the week (7:30am to 5:00pm) and 7 hours on Saturdays (9am to 4pm). The wage for this role is between $15-$16/hour based on experience.

Order Desk Associate Responsibilities:

-              Respond to in person, phone and email requests from clients

-              Follow up with customers regarding product and service inquiries in a timely fashion

-            Communicate customer needs with the warehouse and shipping departments

-              Learn the products they sell and their technical applications and educate clients on additional products and services that are available.

-             Verify inventory levels, prepare quotations and process orders for clients

-              Maintain a clean, efficient and accurate work environment

 

Order Desk Associate Requirements:

 

-              Bilingualism (French and English) with excellent verbal & written communication in both languages

-             Flexible - Must be available to work Saturdays

-             Intermediate Computer skills specifically in MS Office/Excel/Word

-              Passion for superior customer service and sales

-              Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

-              A curious, self-starter with a mature, positive and professional attitude - especially during times of stress

-              Ability to remain focus amongst many potential distractions and perform a broad range of simultaneous duties

-              Ability to work well in a team environment & demonstrate respect for coworkers

-              Enthusiasm for the product! Any experience or knowledge of tile or installation is a huge plus!
