Organizational Change Management and Communications Consultant

Adecco is currently searching for an Organizational Change Management and Communications Consultant for a 12-Month contract with possibility of extension with our Crown Corporation Client located in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance or be eligible for it.

The work will be remote to begin but will require you on-site once called back.

The Organizational Change Management and Communications Consultant will have the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development of change management strategies and plans to support complex IT and business programs and projects
  • Develop and execute actionable and targeted change management plans, including a communication and engagement plan, sponsor roadmap, training plan, risk mitigation plan and resistance management plan
  • Apply a structured change management approach and methodology to change caused by projects and change efforts
  • Develop a clear understanding of the goals of the change program, and the team leading the change, to shape messaging and articulate the value of the change, tailored to the needs of key stakeholders
  • Work with leadership teams and the change management practice to integrate change management activities into the overall project, and departmental plans
  • Engage influential and impacted stakeholders in the development of change management plans.
  • Identify potential risks and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns
  • Conduct organizational change readiness assessments, evaluate results, and reports
  • Be an active and visible coach to those participating in the program
  • Create and manage measurement systems to track the adoption, utilization, and proficiency of changes
  • Throughout the change, assess the effectiveness of the plan and adjust it to respond to opportunities and challenges, as they arise
  • Identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement corrective actions
  • Prepare and research reports, briefings, and presentations, and provide guidance and education on organizational change methodologies
  • Other related activities and deliverables as required
  • The Organizational Change Management and Communications Consultant must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in related field
  • 5+ years of recent relevant work experience in organizational change management, communications, and training
  • Demonstrated experience working with scrum teams and delivering change management services in an agile environment or with an organization going through an agile transformation
  • Nice to Have:

  • Demonstrated experience working with data and information programs/projects
  • Agile Certification(s) (e.g. Scrum Master, Product Owner, Agile Leadership)
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of organizational change principles, approaches, and methodologies (e.g. ADKAR)
  • Demonstrated ability to coach at all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating virtual meetings and workshops
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strategic communications and working in collaboration with communication teams to provide effective communications through a variety of methods
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective presentations and present
  • Change Management Professional (CMP) Certification
