Adecco is currently recruiting for an Order Packer position (temp to perm) role with our client in North York, ON (conveniently TTC accessible).  

Packagers are responsible for cleaning packaging materials, loading items into containers, and weighing and labeling the items appropriately. They also perform final checks for defective items, ensure all working items make it to the loading area or inventory, and keep detailed records of materials and shipments.

The successful incumbent will be working 40+ hours per week in a warehouse setting.  Exposure to the elements as well as loud noises.  Safety equipment – boots, hard hat, safety glasses and hearing protection will be required.

The Order Packer will have the following responsibilities:
  • Wrap and seal foam according to specifications and quantities.
  • Operate packing and sealing equipment.
  • Report any conditions that may effect the overall operation of the curtain wrapper. 
  • Ensure quality control specifications are met. 
  • Complete necessary paperwork. 
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained. 

The Order Packer must meet the MANDATORY requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • 3 - 5 years of Warehouse experience specifically in an Order Picker/Packer role.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Able to use tape measure.
  • Able to safely lift 50 lbs throughout an 8 hour shift.
  • Able to work well with minimum supervision.
  • Employee must demonstrate excellent attendance, work habits, and safety performance.
