Adecco is currently hiring for a Part-Time Clinical Study Specialist for our client in Ottawa West (Kanata). The Clinical Study Specialist will be responsible for the execution of the company’s in-house clinical study, from screening and consenting potential participants, taking their medical history, and performing the CAD-det test. This is a Part-Time opportunity to start with 2 to 3 days per week at 8 hours per day, potential need for the occasional evening and weekend may arise based on study requirements. Compensation to be determined based on experience.

 

Clinical Study Specialist Responsibilities:

  •                 Screening and consenting potential study participants
  •                 Taking participant’s medical history, including height, weight, blood pressure, pulse rate, etc.
  •                 Performing the CAD-det test on participants
  •                 Data entry of participant information into an Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system
  •                 Adhering to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Health Canada, and FDA regulations, as appropriate.
  •                 Applying quality assurance procedures, including those required under ISO 13485 and 21CFR Part 820, to ensure that high quality data is obtained and protected

Clinical Study Specialist Qualifications:

Education:

  •                 Certification in Good Clinical Practices (GCP)
  •                 Undergraduate Science degree, college diploma, or recognized equivalent
  •                 Clinical Research certification preferred

Experience:

  •                 Minimum 2 years¿ experience in medical device or pharmaceutical clinical research

Skills & Functional / Technical Competencies:

  •                 Self-motivated with Initiative, good judgment and the ability to multi-task
  •                 Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  •                 Able to work in a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to detail
  •                 Able to problem solve and apply critical thinking
  •                 Able to learn quickly and work independently
  •                 Able to work well as part of a team
  •                 Familiarity with applicable legislation and regulations (Health Canada, FDA, CE Mark)
  •                 Demonstrated proficiency in English, with excellent oral communication skills
  •                 Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications
