Adecco is currently hiring for a Part Time Greeter with our client located in Downtown Ottawa. This is a contract opportunity offering 20 hours a week. Availability to rotate between a 7am to 11am shift and 11am to 3pm shift. Hourly rate of pay is $16. 

Greeter Duties:

  • Coordinate the lines of applicants into half-hour time blocks, according to the time of their appointment
  • Separate those applicants with special appointments
  • Maintain control over the lines and entry of the applicants into waiting room
  • Distribute applications to the public
  • Check all applications to make sure they are complete
  • Remind the public of the time the whole process will take
  • Provide other information assistance to the pavilion-visiting public as necessary
  • Ensure that public are treated fairly and professionally
  • Respond to any crowd control emergency
  • Ensure uniform is clean and of proper fit
  • Maintain pleasant and positive attitude when dealing with the public
  • Adhere to the security rules
  • Be alert to any evidence of fraud and report these instances to the supervisor
  • Take action to improve service as necessary
  • Investigate validity of any customer complaints

 

Greeter Requirements:

  • Available to work 20 hours per week between 7 and 3 PM, schedule to be determined by supervisor
  • 1-3 years customer service experience
  • Experience in an embassy environment would be considered an asset
  • Experience scheduling appointments would be considered an asset
  • Fluency in French or Spanish would be considered an asset
