Adecco Professional is currently looking for a dedicated Payroll Administrator in Oakville, ON. This is a full-time permanent opportunity to join our client in the service industry and adding to their Payroll team. Our client is looking for a driven individual with a can-do attitude and experience performing high volume, full cycle payroll functions in a fast-paced setting in their Oakville office. The successful individual will have 3+ years of experience processing unionized employee payroll.

This role will includes completing all day to day activities for producing the payroll for all employees in a time efficient manner among other responsibilities such as:

  • Strong understanding of general payroll practices and legislation
  • Processing weekly payroll for 500+ union and non-unionized employees across the organization
  • Monitoring work flow to ensure all employee data is accurate and up to date
  • Reviewing time-sheets, balancing payroll, and verifying payroll deductions
  • Posting journal entries and preparing general ledgers as needed in the accounting system
  • Preparing all T4’s, ROE’s, and payroll reports
  • Reconciliation activities as required

Qualifications for the Payroll Administrator job opening in Oakville, ON include:

  • 3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a unionized setting
  • Strong technical skills with experience using payroll software
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced high-volume setting
