Payroll Analyst l $45K – 50K+ l Richmond, BC l Permanent


Adecco has partnered up with a leading global mechanical maintenance company operating in 30 countries over 7 continents. The client is looking a Payroll Analyst for the Payroll department in assisting with processing of payroll for various countries. This is an opportunity for the incumbent to learn many aspects of payroll as well be part of a new exciting growth within the whole organization.

Responsibilities:


Process semi-monthly payroll/monthly/biweekly payrolls – data input, data uploads, calculate payroll changes, verify transaction reports
Respond to employee queries in a timely manner
Experience with Payroll Year End Process - T4’s, T4A’s, NR4’s
Working knowledge of US Payroll
Reconciling payroll general ledger accounts and payroll bank accounts
Processing payroll remittances and issuing records of employment
Maintaining transactional payroll files
Prepare various reports for the Finance Department as requested
Maintaining changes within the payroll system and related employee files.
Accountable for timely and accurate payroll processing and monitoring remittances.
Works closely with the Payroll Supervisor on ad hoc projects as required.
Adhere to payroll procedures and policies and maintain payroll SOX controls.
Temporary Admin support as required
May perform other duties as assigned.



Requirements:

Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive “hands on” payroll experience in a national/international environment.
Excellent knowledge of Payroll Compliances and Audits
Proficient in ADP Pay @ Work
Working knowledge of US payroll and ADP Workforce now is an asset
Experience with preparing payroll financial entries and reconciliations is required
Demonstrated benefits and pension understanding
Tax background (experience in Gross-up/True-up, hypothetical tax, Tax equalization, and knowledge of shadow payroll) would be an asset.
Must be adaptable, flexible and maintain effectiveness during change.
