Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, full-time Payroll Clerk for our client, a reputable solution-based company in the health care system located in Regina, SK. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for compiling and processing payroll data as well as other related tasks. If you have at least one year of experience with payroll processing and data entry, and experience working with Canadian payroll legislation and the Saskatchewan Employment Act, this job is for you!

  • Shifts: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM | Monday to Friday

  • Job responsibilities include:

  • Compiling and processing payroll data (e.g., new hires, terminations, employee status changes)
  • Verifying and processing employee work records
  • Checking and resolving errors from payroll run
  • Preparing, sorting and filing a variety of reports including remittances and monthly reports
  • Processing year-end T4 preparation
  • Calculating retroactive pay and/or increments as required
  • Tracking accruals and maintaining job database
  • To qualify, you should:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification from the CPA or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Minimum one year of experience with payroll processing and data entry
  • Knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and the Saskatchewan Employment Act
  • Experience maintaining a human resource information system (HRIS) and processing medium scale payroll (for 650+ employees) would be an asset
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office systems such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively as part of a cross functional team - commitment to client service, teamwork and collaboration
  • Must be a competent writer and can communicate with peers and customers effectively to meet work objectives
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality including handling confidential information with discretion
