Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, full-time Payroll Clerk to work at one of Canada’s leading mining companies in Sparwood, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for administering all aspects of the Payroll System such as reviewing completed timecard information, ensuring Payroll deadlines are successfully achieved, and employees are paid accurately. Duties and Responsibilities:
Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Code and post daily timecards
Prepare Hourly Payroll in accordance with Company Policies, Employment Standards, all government legislation and other payroll standards
Complete timely and accurate payment to hourly employees ensuring security and timeliness of bank transfer payroll files
Facilitate all month-end payroll reporting in a timely manner
Manage and lead GHO Payroll when needed
Prepare and remit WCB reports, Resource Management Fees, Income Tax, CPP, and EI in accordance with government legislation
Complete annual preparation and reconciliation of taxable benefits and T4s
Assist in the preparation of annual Gain Share, Profit Share, and Teck Coal incentive payments
Respond to general queries from employees and other departments
Assist with employee onboarding, processing terminations, and ROE’s
Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum two years of Payroll or Accounting experience
Excellent digital proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite®; Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with experience in Payroll applications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of integrity and confidentiality
A sophisticated and analytical personality with problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to prioritize tasks with little supervision
Able to adapt quickly to meet changing priorities
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
