Adecco Professional is currently looking to find talent for a dedicated Payroll Coordinator job opening in Toronto, ON - please note this is a hybrid work arrangement and will require full in-office during training/onboarding and 2 days/week in office ongoing from there). This is a full-time 3 month temporary opportunity to join an established and dynamic team in the non-profit/charitable arena. Our client is looking for an experienced, hard-working, motivated Payroll Coordinator with a driven, can-do attitude and experience various payroll and related functions. The successful individual will have 2+ years of payroll coordinator or payroll administrator experience and have a team-player mentality!
This Payroll Coordinator job opening in Toronto, ON will include the following responsibilities although not limited to:
Sharing the full administration (preparation and processing) of the payroll for approximately 400 unionized staff members; bi-weekly
Reviewing timesheets, balancing payroll, and verifying payroll deductions; auditing reports for accuracy
Accurately input hours and related union dues into the system
Ensure new hires are set up properly and are run without issues (in collaboration with HR)
Liaise with HR and other departments on new hires, leaves, terminations/resignations, updates and changes to payroll related items
Provide employee relations including management regarding payroll related questions and inquiries
Additional related support as required. Qualifications for the Payroll Coordinator job opening in Toronto, ON include but are not limited to:
2+ years of Payroll Administration or Payroll Coordination experience
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Payroll or related field; PCP designation a strong asset
Strong understanding of general payroll practices and legislation for Canadian Provinces
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to work with employees, vendors and various departments of the organization
Strong technical skills in MS Office and Ceridian Dayforce experience required.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work quickly in a time-sensitive setting
