Adecco is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer for a temporary to permanent position with a well-established organization in Saint John, NB. The organization plays a vital role in providing citizens in New Brunswick with the knowledge and confidence to make informed spending and investing decisions. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for efficiently collecting and tracking payroll records, as well as issuing pay cheques.   • Shifts: Monday to Friday; 8:15 AM- 4:30 PM

  • Job type: Full-time; Temporary to Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and processing invoices and deposits

  • Investigating and resolving payroll issues in a timely and efficient manner

  • Processing weekly or monthly payroll for employees

  • Informing employees about payment procedures and benefit programs

  • calculating employment benefits, distributing payment statements and responding to questions about taxes, deductions and employee benefits

Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Degree/diploma in a complimentary discipline is a must

  • 2-3 minimum of experience in a payroll role is required

  • Prior experience with ADP payroll or Business Central software is required

  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office

  • Reliable and punctual with excellent time management skills

  • Keen eye for detail

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
