Payroll Specialist l $65K – 75K+ l Richmond, BC l Permanent
Adecco has partnered up with a leading global mechanical maintenance company operating in 30 countries over 7 continents. The client is looking a Payroll Specialist for the Payroll department in assisting with processing of payroll for various countries. This is an opportunity for the incumbent to learn many aspects of payroll as well be part of a new exciting growth within the whole organization.

Responsibilities:


Ensure payrolls are funded and processed timely
Measure performance against established SLAs
Benchmark current practices to understand and propose leading edge processes, tools, and capabilities to
enhance accuracy and efficiency
Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with Finance, Human Resources,
Accounting, and General Management
Maintain communication and relationships with corporate staff: Accounting, Internal
Audit, Financial Planning & Analysis, and HR
Create and execute international payroll implementation plans in collaboration with IT, Commercial
Management, HR, Legal, Internal Audit, Corporate Tax, and Treasury
Support Project implementations for payroll processing in all countries
Support Project implementation of all payroll system integrations.
Ensure SOX controls are in effect and work with internal audit on any compliance issues.
Maintain control processes to ensure consistent and robust compliance with all legal, employment, tax
and HR labour requirements worldwide
Partner with tax to ensure payroll taxes are appropriately withheld.



Requirements:

International payroll experience desired
Preferred Australia payroll experience
Desirable bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
Payroll Certification/Designation or willing to work towards gaining
Experience with ADP and Celergo are assets
Experience managing international payrolls and teams or willing to work towards gaining the experience
Excel and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of international payroll and tax
Analytical mind-set that is able to innovate and improve existing processes
Able to work with minimal supervision, across multiple time zones – **flexibility of core working hours is
required to support other time zones**
Able to lead in an environment with focus on mitigating error
