Adecco has an exciting opportunity for a Bakery Operations Manager in Vaughan! This position offers a competitive compensation package, of 50,000 - 60,000 per annum. This is a permanent opportunity with a leader in the industry, located at Dufferin and Alness. The Operations Manager must be able to work Monday-Friday, from 8 am 5 pm.
Job Description The manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the bakery and managing the baking, decorating, and guest services teams. This position is hands on, and will require the ability to work each position in the bakery and manage each area of the bakery so the entire operation runs smoothly. Team work and guest focus are top priorities and this role will play a key part in ensuring a true commitment to high quality service and standards with our guests and products. Our client is looking for a well-rounded individual to join their team and drive the business forward.

Qualifications Minimum of 3 years in a client facing retail management setting. Post Secondary Education in Business Management or related fields, or a combination of work and educational experience will be considered. Demonstrated people management experience. Understanding of GMP, Ensure compliance of all food processing laws and regulations Management experience in the food service industry required. Solid understanding of guest service. Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of/ability to implement a team approach in the bakery Possesses a strong sense of teamwork .Outgoing and friendly personality Ability to work well under pressure. Strong sales ability. Ability to work with a sense of urgency Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, spreadsheets & general computer knowledge Comfortable with learning back office systems and processes (ingredient and retail ordering processes) Additional Information

Responsibilities: Supervise all employees in every phase of product preparation and guest service Hire staff and provide ongoing training/cross training in each department Evaluate performance of each team member as well as motivate employees to achieve maximum effectiveness Handle all of the opening and closing duties, balancing registers Schedule day to day staffing Track & monitor inventories Maintain superior product quality Exceed guests expectations while providing excellent guest service Achieve and exceed bakery sales goals as the leader and mentor of the staff Create and maintain a positive work environment Ensure the bakery is clean, organized, and uncluttered
