Adecco is currently hiring for a Buyer in Toronto, ON. This opportunity would pay an hourly rate would be $24 per hour and is a day shift running from Monday to Friday. To be considered for this Buyer position the successful candidate needs to have 3 - 5 years of procurement experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Key Duties:
1. Develop, implement and maintain supply chain processes (such as ERP) that enable the Connection Systems Group to grow.
2. Utilize system to generate and adjust purchase orders in support of MRP requirements and effectively communicates areas of concern to appropriate departments, individuals, and suppliers. Interfaces within a cross functional team regularly meeting with, Production, Engineering, and Quality.
3. Assists in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities.
4.Maintain MRP system purchasing data and its integrity. Prepare, contribute, analyze, and/or publish purchasing related metrics, reports and scorecards.
5. Work in conjunction with the Logistics and Inventory Supervisor to maintain optimum level and mix of raw materials
6. Responsible for all assigned tasks relating to supply chain and inventory control Ensure all processes, transactions and external business relationships are in accordance with policy, procedure and the highest of ethical standard
7. To be actively involved in Procurement initiatives and projects, supporting team efforts as well as achieving individual objectives

Required Skills:
1. Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA) Strong analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills Comfortable multitasking and able to deliver results under pressure and tight deadlines.
2. Sound communication skills, both written and spoken Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Strong supplier management skills
3. Ability to obtain bottom line results via cost reduction and continuous improvement Demonstrate leadership and positive interpersonal skills with all levels of staff, management and external suppliers
4. Effectively shares know how with the organization
5. Proven ability to recognize and take advantage of opportunities, form a vision of what can be done and set directions accordingly
6. Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize Ability to work autonomously and as team player
7. Able to assess and look for areas of opportunity to add value across the organization
8. Ability to take ownership of issues and ensure they are resolved

Education & Experience
1. 3 - 5 years of procurement experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
2. College Diploma or University Degree
3. CSCMP/CPIM designation preferred
