Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, Pre-Staging Team Leader to work directly for our client located in Vaughan, ON.  In this role, you are accountable to have project parts delivered to cleaning area, cleaned, prepared, visually inspected for defects, released, and pre-staged to feed the Machines Assembly Flow Line. Closely manages the processes to ensure kits are ready on time, 100% complete & 100% ready to use for assembly.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Closely monitors the Machines production schedule & aligns the priorities of the Pre-Staging team
  • Establishes & reliably maintains a 2-wk buffer of 100% complete pre-staged kits
  • Develops & implements effective & efficient processes for cleaning, preparing, pre-staging & marshalling including the creation of Control Plans
  • Organizes materials in the pre-staging area by project kitting group & operation number to allow for visual management & verification of items
  • Packs kitted items in returnable dunnage where appropriate, with items presented in a way that supports efficient assembly practices
  • Designs & implements scheduling tools to coordinate the various functional responsibilities of the team
  • Schedules Marshalling team activity for completed pre-staged kits that are ready for transfer to the Machines Assembly Flow Line
  • Designs & implements KPIs & metrics to monitor the health of processes & the effectiveness of the team
  • Resolves or escalates issues that are preventing the Pre-Staging team from meeting their objectives (issues relating to part availability, data quality, part quality, etc.)
  • Audits electronic records to ensure transactions are completed accurately & in a timely manner
  • Ensures non-conforming material is segregated, identified & has an appropriate action plan developed by the Quality Control team
  • Maintains accurate records, ensuring traceability of all transactions
  • Optimizes production work area layout to maximize productivity while ensuring assembled product meets customer & company quality standards
  • Recognizes & implements changes in pre-staging area that may result in higher productivity or increased efficiencies that benefit the company
  • Communicates any defective or suspect product to Quality, Operations or Project Manager for disposition
  • Provides direct daily supervision of team members to ensure safe, clean & efficient work environment
  • Applies effective communication & motivational techniques when supervising & coaching
  • Completes & delivers team member performance reviews
  • Fosters a team environment that promotes continuous learning
  • Communicates company goals/philosophies/strategies to Team Members
  • Conducts team safety meetings & provides input to increase safety in the workplace
  • Supervises daily clean-up of production areas & maintains world-class housekeeping standards
  • Assess training needs for staff, as well as temporary workers ensuring that all department personnel are appropriately trained & that the training satisfies the company’s training requirements
  • Requirements

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of internal customer needs & has the ability to deliver on expectations
  • Possesses an intense focus on details
  • Possesses strong leadership & motivation skills
  • Has well-developed scheduling & organization skills
  • Has good understanding/awareness of Husky injection molding machine architecture, assembly processes & component nomenclature
  • Has strong working knowledge of the various ERP sessions used to manage Materials functions
  • Familiar with Husky quality management systems
  • Has strong knowledge of inventory control processes at Husky
  • Has good computer literacy in spreadsheet & word processing applications
  • Is a strong problem-solver & has good facilitation skills
  • Has mature presentation skills
  • Possesses solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation
