Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time, Process Technician in Peterborough, ON. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2- or 3-years college diploma Electronics, Electromechanical or Mechanical Engineering with proven proficiency in basic math, measurement and electro mechanics.
Required Availability: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-1:00am, Friday 12:30pm-5:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities:
Setting up and improving processing, documentation methods to improve quality, productivity and cost of the manufacturing process
Supporting the installation, maintenance, calibration and programming for all main manufacturing equipment and tooling
Participating in the development and documentation of Work instructions for NPI products, Legacy products, Legacy equipment, Special Processes and Future equipment for the Industrialization Department
Suggesting improvement for existing processes, updating, or creating work instructions documents and making jigs/fixtures
Working with the Process Specialist to establish the most efficient method to manufacture and assemble parts or products to promote efficient method and develop the most suitable manufacturing processes
Supporting the Process Specialist with the development of procedures for Special Process documentation and participating in equipment qualification tasks
Preparing product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Supporting the Process Specialist with production of prototypes and pre-production samples according to cost and schedule requirements
Participating in the selection, installation, and qualification of all new manufacturing equipment (except for product-specific Test Department equipment)
Keeping manufacturing equipment operational and support troubleshooting and repair of equipment
Programming for manufacturing equipment used in the main manufacturing equipment work centers (except for product-specific Test -Department equipment). Programming duties includes SMT line equipment (with Pick and Place, SPI, AOI), conformal coat robot and selective soldering equipment
Training and supporting manufacturing personnel on processes and equipment usage
Acting as a backup for the coordination of internal and external preventive maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment to meet company and regulatory requirements
Acting as a backup for calibration on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal machine availability
Maintaining product and company reputation by ensuring compliance with government regulations, customer requirements and industry standards
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Minimum 2- or 3-years college diploma Electronics, Electromechanical or Mechanical Engineering with proven proficiency in basic math, measurement, and electro mechanics
2 + years in an electronics circuit board + unit assembly environment preferred. Strong knowledge of electronic manufacturing equipment methods and procedures
3D CAD and 3D printing experience preferred
Attention to detail and motivated by process documentation
Ability to work independently
Familiar with Lean Manufacturing Concepts
Strong analytical problem-solving approach and hands-on experience
Ability to prepare and present equipment maintenance reports and recommendations
Proficient in MS Office
Experience with health, safety, and environment procedures in a manufacturing facility
Team player who is enthusiastic, has initiative, and takes pride in work well done, a self-starter dedicated to continual quality improvement
Must be able to commute to Peterborough
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada.
