Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary full-time, Procurement Advisor for our client located in Calgary, AB, a globally competitive integrated energy company.  In this role you will be responsible for procurement and supply chain activities. If you are a great communicator, effective with interactions involving partners and suppliers; also skilled in the gas and oil industry, this job is for you!

  • Pay rate: $50/hour

  • Shifts: Monday to Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates purchase orders, maintains and manages entire lifecycle of purchase orders and other basic procurement documentation
  • Assists with procurement process issues as required and escalates unresolved procurement issues to more Senior Procurement Coordinators and Specialists
  • Meets the demands of multiple clients including external stakeholders
  • Ensures all procurement activities are aligned with the purchasing strategy and procurement plan
  • Identifies approved suppliers to address requirements. Creates individual annual objectives, measures, and performance targets aligned with the overall Procurement Team and the Supply Chain Management (SCM) functions' performance targets
  • Applies a mix of general Supply Operations concepts and processes and articulates key terminology in daily work
  • Applies general knowledge of ERP modules and processes in daily work
  • Problems dealt with are of limited complexity and are guided by policies and procedures.
  • Makes decisions within established guidelines
  • Determines course of action as per procedural guidelines and contracts. Participates in the development of priorities to guide decisions
  • Deals with problems which are of limited complexity and guided by policies and procedures
  • Minimum Requirements: Represents a continuation of learning and development within the various phases of Supply Chain Management (SCM). Displays a general knowledge of Supply Chain Management (SCM) practices, procedures and tools
  • Understands the importance of communication skills and effective interaction with partners and suppliers
  • Demonstrates skills in ERP and an understanding of Planning, Scheduling and Coordinating practices, while acquiring a broadening understanding and awareness of related Supply Chain competencies

  • Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary Business or Supply Chain background is preferred
  • Minimum 4+ years of SCM Experience and SAP S4
  • Minimum 1 - 3+ years of experience Supply Chain or a Procurement related role
  • Working knowledge of Ariba and Fieldglass experience is preferred
  • Experience in Oil and Gas industry would be an asset
  • Roles may require a working knowledge of written and verbal French
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
