Production Associate

Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Production Associate to work at a leading North American manufacturing company located in Milton, ON. Get your foot in the door with our client, who values growth for its employees and offers educational opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled, organized and energetic individual capable of assembling belts and belt assemblies, rollers, as need by the company, partially or completely, working at a bench or on the shop floor while observing all posted Safety Rules, as directed by the Manager. In addition, to qualify for this role, the candidate must possess a valid G Driver's License.

  • Pay rate: $20/hour
  • Location: Milton, ON
  • Shifts: Monday-Friday | 8:30AM-5:00PM + rotating installation schedule

  • Job responsibilities include:

  • Perform assigned tasks by following work order instructions, drawing information and production work instructions
  • Complete and sign off appropriate sections of the quality inspection checklist prior to sending jobs to the next department
  • Wear appropriate protection to perform tasks and by referencing to the appropriate material safety sheet
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace during and after completing work tasks
  • Report all machinery issues to the Production Manager
  • Operate appropriate machinery as required
  • Participate in the Belt Install, Service and on Call Customer Belt Installations
  • May assist in the training of new workers
  • Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in manual production ideally in the conveyor belt/manufacturing environment
  • Must have a valid G Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract
  • Must be mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication, presentation, organization, and leadership skills
  • Intermediate MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is an asset
  • General knowledge of the use of technology, instruments, tools, and information systems
  • Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, teamwork, time management and interpersonal skills
