Production Control Manager

REQUIREMENTS – Production Control Manager

- Leadership experience working in a Production and Inventory Control in the automotive manufacturing industry
- Degree or Diploma from a recognized post-secondary educational institute in a related field
- CAPICS certification preferred
- Demonstrated experience in analysis and planning with ability to analyze and anticipate situations, define problems and objectives, recognize alternatives, and formulate solutions 
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Ability to work effectively as a team and independently, multi-task and meet deadlines, and negotiate with customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to supervise staff, and able to work under pressure
- Ability to work accurately and pay close attention to details with frequent interruptions 
- TPS experience is an asset
- Ability to relate to individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and to work with them in a fair, supportive and cooperative manner
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

RESPONSIBILITIES – Production Control Manager

- Supervise, evaluate, train and coach the team
- Perform problem analysis when issues occur and come up with countermeasures to avoid recurrence
- Production scheduling and planning in cooperation with Sales and Manufacturing
- Initiate and lead projects 
- Implementation of operating standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Use, support and train team member on SAP 
- Create SOP/Goshi task lists and follow up
- Works closely with the corporate offices
- Participate in Kaizen to improve the Department
- Cost analysis
- Budget setting
- Sequencing production/preparation of pile chart
- Scheduling modification requests
- Work with the various teams and departments to meet goals
