Adecco is currently hiring a Production Coordinator for a 6-month contract to work full-time hours for our client located in Ajax, ON. In this role, you will be reporting to Machine Shop Team Leader. The successful individual, working with the Planners, will be responsible for the overall coordination of activities within the Machine Shop. As well as the day-to-day planning of work and support on administration activities, the job is also intended to support and prioritize the recovery plans on the military product.

  • Availability Required: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

  • Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordinating, with the planner, the flow of work throughout the Machine Shop
  • Ensure the availability of parts to meet flow requirements as well as customer expectations
  • Assist with Work Order Management in SAP
  • Coordinate unplanned activities including raising rework travelers, performing work order splits in SAP, liaising with Manufacturing Engineers and supporting other functions in the company to maintain site OTD requirements
  • Update/improve administrative and reporting tools in order to reduce non-value-added work
  • Create, maintain, and publish daily/weekly status reports as required.
  • Support IN/OUT forecast between Planning & ODC Procurement & follow-up with each group for updates
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure part availability
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement projects
  • Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Post-secondary education in supply chain, business management, or manufacturing
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Experience in administrative functions
  • Results oriented
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Office software – advanced Excel Skills
  • Basic understanding of Engineering drawings
  • Previous experience with MRP II / SAP software an asset
  • Must be able to pass a background check
