Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Production Extruder Operator, to work at a well-established food company in Richmond, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and maintaining multiple machines in preparation for production as well as shutting down equipment for cleanup.

  • Pay rate: $20.33/hour
  • Location: Richmond, BC
  • Shifts: Monday to Friday | 2:30 PM-10:30 PM
  • Job type: Full-time |Permanent
  • Transit Access: No
  • Parking: Free on site
  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assembling and preparing extrusion equipment for production, including inputting settings and functions and readjusting as necessary; flushing down extruder cooling dies for clean-up
  • Handling materials and switching machinery as required
  • Ensuring quality of products meet Company standards by communicating with other departments and informing them of deficiencies with product, and monitoring equipment, including checking temperature, pressure, RPM, etc, and completing line check forms
  • Adhering to the Company’s safety policies and procedures, as well as those set out by WorkSafeBC, and abiding by food sanitation standards
  • Working in other production areas as required
  • Performing other duties as required
  • Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred
  • 2+ years experience and knowledge of extruder machine is preferred; previous experience in food manufacturing is considered an asset
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a dedication to quality and safety
  • Capacity to follow equipment centerline settings
  • Working alone with minimal supervision and maintaining a positive and respectful workplace
  • Abiding by Company policies and procedures
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Capacity to use critical thinking and problem solving
  • Ability to use arithmetic to perform production related calculations
  • Must be available for day, evening, and weekend shifts
  • Hearing protection and steel toe shoes are required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long period of time
  • Ability to Maneuver heavy objects, and frequently bend, stoop and twist  
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
