Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Production Former Operator, to work at a well-established food company in Richmond, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and changing forming machines for production as well as shutting down equipment for clean-up.

  • Pay rate: $20.33/hour
  • Location: Richmond, BC
  • Shifts: Monday to Friday | 2:30 PM-10:30 PM
  • Job type: Full-time |Permanent
  • Transit Access: No
  • Parking: Free on site
  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Setting up forming line for startup and changeover, and assembling and operating forming machines for production; shutting down equipment for clean up
  • Following a production schedule and ensuring forming is completed in allotted time
  • Retrieving bins of product from the cooler and returning to Mixing department or Sanitation; adding raw materials to the former
  • Ensuring product quality meets Company standards by weighing product, monitoring machine settings, completing line check forms, and communicating with other departments, check product quality using provided product specifications and make necessary corrective action
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving when necessary
  • Maintaining a clean working area, such as disposing of waste and cleaning floor
  • Adhering to the Company’s safety policies and procedures, as well as those set out by WorkSafeBC, and abiding by food sanitation standards
  • Working in other production areas as required
  • Making batter, scanning tag and doing paperwork
  • Performing other duties as required
  • Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred
  • Previous manufacturing experience is an asset
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a dedication to quality and safety
  • Working as part of a team, often with minimal supervision, while maintaining a positive and respectful workplace
  • Can read, understand and follow centerlines
  • Abiding by Company policies and procedures
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to use critical thinking and problem solving
  • Ability to use arithmetic to perform production related calculations
  • Must be available for day, evening, and weekend shifts
  • Hearing protection and steel toe shoes are required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long period of time
  • Ability to Maneuver heavy objects, and frequently bend, stoop and twist  
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
