Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Line Lead in Scarborough, ON to work for our client, a leading company that majors in the manufacturing industry. If you have a minimum of 1 year experience and/or training as a Line Lead and you have working knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook), this job is for you!   • Pay rate: $18.75/hour
  • Location: Scarborough, ON
  • Shifts: Monday to Thursday | 7:30AM - 4:30PM, and Fridays | 7:30AM - 2PM 
  • Job type: Permanent | Full time
  • Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with multiple departments to determine the status/completion date of components required for assembly
  • Works with Section Manager and Group Leaders to develop improvement ideas that support business objectives
  • Prepares all Non-Conformance Reports for the Assembly area and coordinates with multiple departments to ensure rework is completed
  • Ensures that all lines are properly torn down including material return to stock, storage of assembly fixtures and tool return and all applicable 5S standards are met
  • Initiates action with leadership to eliminate issues preventing a quality, productive and on time delivery of a production job
  • Supports continuous improvement to include production methods, productivity, delivery performance, equipment performance, product quality and employee safety while engaging operators’ ideas
  • Provides feedback to leadership for root cause and corrective action for KPI target misses and other production related issues for assigned jobs
  • Gathers SQDC data and populates the daily file accordingly and ensures material Kanban systems and requests are properly filled out and executed in a timely manner
  • Confirms all inter-departmental requests are properly filled out and executed in a timely fashion
  • Ensures production materials are staged on the line before production process begins to maximize efficiency
  • Ensures standard work procedures for operators and material handlers are being followed
  • Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and 1-year certificate from college or technical school is required
  • Minimum 1-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong teamwork, communication (verbal and written) and technical skills are essential
  • Must be highly detail-oriented and results driven
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of Industrios ERP system is considered an asset
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
