Adecco is currently seeking a dedicated Production Operator 4th Class Engineer to join our client's team in Port Moody, BC. In this role, you will play a vital part in our manufacturing process, ensuring the safe and efficient staging, charging, and packaging of raw materials. Detailed Job Description:
As a Production Operator 4th Class Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Staging and charging of raw materials and completion of all associated documentation.

  • Loading finished products into tank trucks, drums, totes, and other packaging.

  • Accurately weighing and recording material charges and times on documents and in the database.

  • Supporting plant EHS, Maintenance, and Utility personnel as directed by management, which may include operating a forklift and handling pallets, drums, hoses, and valves.

  • Utilizing the Distributive Control System (DCS) to move materials and increase production efficiency.

  • Lifting and controlling a minimum of 50 lbs. load from floor level to a standing position.

  • Regularly performing tasks such as walking, bending, squatting, climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.

  • Working in both indoor and outdoor environments year-round.

  • Wearing appropriate PPE, including a full-face respirator, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and a hard hat.

  • Demonstrating an understanding of process equipment functions and assisting maintenance as needed.

  • Utilizing math skills, including weights, measures, and conversions.

  • Maintaining good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Operating computer systems (DCS, SAP, Microsoft Office, etc.).

Candidate's Profile:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

  • Production Operator experience and be 4th Class Power Certified 

  • Experience loading or unloading railcars is an asset  

  • Must have experience in a chemical Industry or oil & Gas 

  • Lift and control a minimum of 50 lbs. load from floor level to standing position.

  • Ability to wear appropriate PPE, including full face respirator, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, hard hat.

  • Understanding of process equipment regarding function and assist maintenance in feedback to maintain the equipment.

  • Physical ability to meet job requirements, including lifting and working in various environments.

  • Strong math skills and the ability to perform measurements and conversions.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in computer systems, including DCS, SAP, and Microsoft Office.
