Production Operator- Morning Shift

Adecco is looking for Dry Production Operator for a food manufacturer located in Brampton, ON. The operator will be responsible for handling compounding, mixing and bagging the batches of dry ingredients. We are looking for someone who is always a team player, detail oriented and has a passion for the bakery industry. This opportunity is a temp to permanent depending upon the performance.

Shift: 5:45am- 2:15pm (Monday to Friday+ some weekend/overtime as needed), full time

Pay Rate: $18-$22/hr (depending upon experience)

Location: Airport Road and Intermodal Drive, Brampton, Ontario


  • Compounding batches as per the measurements indicated on manufacturing orders (MO’s)
  • Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, and follow plant policies and procedures.
  • Verifying all the ingredients are properly weighed and that the proper ingredients are being used
  • Mixing product in the large blender as per the manufacturing instructions.
  • Following the procedures shown on the SOPs
  • Filling out the proper documentation
  • Drying, cleaning, and washing the equipment when the schedule requires.
  • Communicating to your Supervisor any safety related issues
  • Operating equipment such as, forklift, BT pallet truck, scales, mixers, baggers, bag sealers, metal detectors, cranes, and check weighers.
  • Reporting non-conformances to you supervisor, manager, or QA.
  • Maintaining a clean work area ensuring product safety and general workplace safety.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
  • To qualify, you should:

  • Ability to lift bags/boxes up to 25kgs (55lbs)
  • High School Diploma
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Forklift License- Raymond Reach/ Walkie experience an asset.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English. Have a good mathematical aptitude.
  • Able to work overtime when required
  • Must be free from allergies to chemicals that we use.
  • Basic computer experiences.
  • Able to operate all compounding related equipment
  • Must be comfortable moving heavy raw material drums and equipment upto 55lbs
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks in order to maintain an effective work environment
  • Experience in a pharmacy or pharmaceutical manufacturing will be considered an asset.
