Adecco is currently hiring a Master Production Scheduler for a 6-month contract to work full-time hours for our client located in Ajax, ON.

In this role, you will be reporting to the Assembly Shop Director, the Master Production Scheduler will be responsible to define the adequate architecture necessary to manage the internal supply chain processes for planning (part number portfolio, horizons, lead time, process, tool, key performance indicators, ERP master data, and process audits). The Master Production Scheduler will manage the master production schedule to ensure demand and supply are balanced at all times. The role leads the planning of demand, capacity, inventory, and other production drivers, and develop strategies for adapting variances to the plan. The Master Production Scheduler coordinates communication and data flow between manufacturing, and supply chain management and sales, including ensuring ERP systems are properly aligned with desired business processes.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the MPS, with product families broken down by product number & source, requirements allocated by item reference & time intervals (day, week, month) specified as per the timeframe (short/med term)
  • Check demand/capacity matching for each critical workload section (internal & external) & issue warning in case of a problem
  • Incorporate MPS data (item reference by day, week or month, orders, projections) into ERP system
  • Check overall consistency of MPS data with the aggregated data in the S&OP
  • Validate the data at the end of the process, before launch of the MRP
  • Manage load & capacity analysis for both labor & equipment with operational management and propose solution to respect MPS:
  • Propose headcount evolution
  • Propose flexibility requirement (internal flexibility & external offload)
  • Ensure consistency of the assumption taken in the analysis (labor efficiency, equipment efficiency, headcount, component availability, etc.)
  • Propose solutions & establish an action plan with other stakeholders in order to respect MPS
  • Produce the MRP:
  • Check that the action plan derived from the previous MRP has been carried out, before launch of the MRP
  • Ensure that the necessary information is consistent (available inventory, process sequences, bills of materials, resources, etc.) before launch of the MRP
  • Ensure that the MRP is consistent with respect to requirements, current inventories & objectives.
  • Manually re initiate the MRP
  • Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • College Diploma/University Degree in supply chain management, operations management, logistics management, industrial engineering, or other similar degree
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS certification preferred
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience
  • 3+ years of planning or scheduling experience
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Proficiency in Office tools
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, internally and with other departments at the site.
  • Ability to provide timely warnings at the right level (Team Leader, S&OP Manager, Procurement, etc.)
  • Ability to make the right decisions
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to negotiate with internal contacts
  • Ability to analyze a complex problem involving numerous internal and external parties, find the root cause and propose solutions
  • Ability to analyze information provided by other departments and assess the importance of variances and their consequences
  • Must be able to pass a background check
