Production Scheduler - R&D

Adecco is currently hiring a Production Scheduler - R&D Technician for our Medical Manufacturing client in Ottawa West. This is a 1-year contract opportunity offering full time hours. Hourly rate of pay will be determined based on level of experience.

  • Providing weekly updates to the program team
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations regarding the scheduling of R&D Project work orders and communicate status as required. Ensure all forms and documents are accurate and up to date.
  • Schedule and track all special orders and strive for complete and on time delivery
  • Manage the inventory of all required materials, including appropriate disposal
  • Understand and comply with Quality and EH&S policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Safeguard the environment and facilitate a safe and healthy workplace culture.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as may be required.
  • Required Education and Experience:

  • College Diploma (3 year program), or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1-3 years relevant experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, able to use multiple formulas/functions. Knowledge of Excel macros considered an asset
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize own daily work to meet established schedules.
  • Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communications
  • Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups.
  • Judgment and decision-making skills, organization, coordinating and planning skills. Ability to work in a multi-task environment, under pressure, and with a propensity for continuous learning.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge and understanding of business processes and requirements.
  • Familiarity with any of the following areas would be an asset:

  • Database management
  • Production and inventory management
  • Demand planning
  • Material coordination
  • Medical devices, their development and use
  • ISO/FDA regulations
