Adecco is currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Production Shift Supervisor  in Colborne, ON, to work at a globally known manufacturer of the fastest, yet most flexible automated transfer machines in the world. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience and a college diploma.

  • Shifts: Monday to Friday |1 Week 8 AM- 4 PM | 1 week 4 PM- 12 AM | 1 Weekend/month, occasionally
  • Job type: Full-time | Permanent
  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for shift Quality, Cost and Delivery targets
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to production team
  • Monitor and ensure efficiency of plant equipment and resources
  • Schedule and assign work to ensure production requirements are met
  • Track efficiency & productivity, review results and communicate feedback effectively
  • Perform layered audits, safety inspections and participate in corrective actions
  • Foster an environment of Safety, Teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with Quality and Set Up Technicians to ensure conformance of product produced
  • Ensure adherence Company policies, procedures, processes and shop rules
  • Train and develop new/existing employees on all aspects of the job
  • Communicate and document events with other Production Supervisors and Plant Manager
  • Coordinate delivery/removal of raw material, packaging and skids at the work center
  • Complete daily work audits & effectively communicate job status to the next shift
  • Maintain discipline and control in the shop
  • Perform other duties as outlined by management
  • Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • A College diploma is required and completion of apprenticeship / technical diploma is preferred
  • A Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience is required
  • Forklift operator’s license and/or experience is an asset
  • Experience in a Machine shop environment, with CNC transfer machines is preferred
  • Able to use basic measuring equipment (mics, Vernier, dial indicator, etc.)
  • Have basic computer applications knowledge such as MS Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Able to read & interpret drawings, working knowledge of GD&T
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and overall positive attitude are required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently are a must
  • Motivated self-starter with “Can do” attitude and outgoing personality
  • Should be a quick learner with the ability to be trained
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
