Adecco is currently hiring for a Production Supervisor – Contract to work full-time hours for our client in Ajax, ON.  This Production Supervisor contract opportunity is for a seasoned supervisor who has worked previously within a unionized production facility. If this, is you, apply today!

  • Availability Required: Rotating bi-weekly shifts 6:30am-3:00pm and 3:15pm-11:45pm
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

    • Responsibilities:

  • Planning and scheduling production activities and supervising the production process.
  • Supervising line employees including counselling and disciplining, when necessary.
  • Handles quality and safety concerns related to production.
  • Works with other departments to prevent any probable delay in production and effectively execute the policies and goals of the organization.
  • Prepares various reports and paperwork.
  • Ensures compliance with the following legislation: OHSA, WSIB, Human Rights, Employment Standards, and Labour Relations.
  • Uses and or wears personal protective equipment that the company requires to be used or worn.
  • Performs any other duties as required in pursuance to the function of this position or as directed.
  • Works safely, reporting hazards and unsafe conditions, and takes all reasonable measures to protect themselves, co-workers and direct reports.
  • Recognizing and understanding the requirements of our internal and external customers and is dedicated to establishing the highest industry standards for quality, value, service & technology.
  • Ensures and understands compliance with harassment within the workplace towards others in the organization.
  • Supervise ~100 employees

    • Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, and written, knowing how to speak to all levels of personnel and customers as well
  • Good computer skills - Excel and Word are musts
  • Available for days and afternoon shifts as this position rotates bi-weekly 6:30 AM - 3 PM and 3;15PM - 11:45 PM
  • Available Monday to Saturday work shifts
  • MUST pass a criminal background check
