Our client in Port Perry is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team.  This is a continental shift. The salary is $40-42K/yr. Ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility and be proficient working within an ERP system.

Production Supervisor Responsibilities:

- Meet with on-site supervisor to discuss current production activities, scheduled line changes and personnel needs prior to going on the floor (Explain any line/equipment problems).
- Carefully review information in the ERP system to ensure accurate production, scheduling of line changes and down time for each line.
- Review raw material requirements in the ERP system with the material handler(s) to ensure that they are handled in a cost effective manner.
- Review personnel requirements for each shift including vacations and scheduled time off while minimizing labour cost.
- Ensure follow up on equipment repairs with the technical services staff.
- Assign all team members to their workstation(s) and monitor their work and breaks.
- Demonstrate procedures to all employees as necessary and facilitate cross training of employees.
- Read the dockets and check the parts on every line regularly for production and quality issues and arrange to correct any deficiencies.
- Ascertain conformance to customer requirements

Production Supervisor Qualifications:

- Previous Supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Proficiency in working within an ERP system.
- First Aid/CPR training (Current Certification).
- WHMIS.
- Accident Investigation training.
- Hazard Inspection training.
- Due Diligence safety training.
- Computer Proficiency skills (MS Word/Excel).
