Adecco is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our clients team, located in Sarnia, ON. This is a Contract role, specifically focused on Front End Project Development. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in validating business cases, project evaluation, concept selection, and front-end engineering and design. The primary focus will be on PLC replacements across the refinery and chemicals plant in Sarnia.

  • Shifts: Monday-Friday 40 hours/week

Detailed Job Description: As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Participating in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection.

  • Identifying and sourcing long-lead equipment, ensuring Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contractor support.

  • Coordinating the development of Functional Interaction Plans and resolving project issues.

  • Managing change requests and authorizing changes as necessary.

  • Ensuring the completion of assigned work scope in line with project objectives.

  • Serving as an interface between the Project Team and contractors.

  • Verifying that the design and construction align with project specifications and standards.

  • Leading the Project Management Team (PMT) in applying Project Management Systems.

Candidate's Profile: To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in an engineering field, with a focus on Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (E, I&C) knowledge.

  • 5-10 years of Project development experience.

  • Previous experience or background in Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls.

  • Experience in industrial operating facilities is preferred.

  • Broad experience in engineering, construction, and project management.

  • Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite of software programs.

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
