Adecco is currently recruiting for an IT Project Manager for a 4-Month contract with our Crown Corporation Client in Chalk River, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance or be eligible for it.
The IT Project Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Managing projects from the initiation phase to project closeout;
- Defining project scope and objectives, developing detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, communication plan and status reports;
- Assembling project teams, assigning responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources;
- Developing schedules to ensure the timely and cost-efficient completion of projects;
- Providing technical and analytical guidance to the project team members to adhere to quality and standards;
- Establishing and controlling project scope;
- Identifying and managing project risks;
- Establishing and administering project budgets and schedules;
- Identifying, managing and approving changes to the project scope, schedule, budget or quality by leveraging change requests as dictated by the company’s project management guidelines;
- Track project performance and communicate progress to stakeholders at various levels of the organization;
- Motivating team members to meet quality scope and constraints;
- Leading vendor discovery engagements on new and existing products, evaluate usefulness and male recommendations with regards to their fit within the existing architecture;
- Leading quality assurance activities, including preparation of test plans/cases, executing unit, system and integration testing. Documenting defects in collaboration with the project;
- Leading preparation of required documentation (requirements, user guides, communications, progress manuals, hand over documentation, presentations, etc.) according to established methodologies and standards;
- Develop project management plans and baseline;
- Develop documentation for vendor engagements with input from the stakeholders and issue procurement proposal;
- Provide a solution delivering the benefits outlines herein and meeting IT’s expectations with respect to scope and deliverables;
- Maintain up to date all applicable documentation.
The IT Project Manager must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) accreditation;
- 5+ Years of experience planning, leading and managing Oracle projects;
- 5+ Years of experience leading projects in excess of CAD $500,000;
- Experience with IT Projects, specifically with the planning, executing and monitor/controlling of Oracle Cloud implementations;
- Good Understanding of Earned Value Management;
- Excellent communication skills

- Experience with Primavera
