Adecco is currently hiring for a Project Manager for our Medical Manufacturing client in Ottawa West. This is a 1-year contract opportunity offering full time hours, Monday – Friday. The salary for this position will be determined based on education and experience.

Position Overview:  Working as part of the Product Engineering team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to supporting the Manager of Project Management in meeting project portfolio goals. The activities will include setting up the reporting environment for project oversight at the portfolio level, managing individual projects, supporting other project managers in meeting their Milestone objectives and providing training to more junior project managers.


  • Supporting the development and maintenance of detailed project plans including schedule and budget.
  • Managing strong healthy relationships with stakeholders and project teams ensuring that project delivery expectations are clearly defined and met.
  • Ensuring awareness by all team members of project goals and objectives.
  • Coordinating/managing day-to-day project activities.
  • Actively elevating to the Manager of Project Management for resolution any developing issues that compromise the published timelines and deliverables.
  • Maintaining complete understanding project deliverables, risks, issues, and scope to ensure project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Responsible for complying with established design control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure a positive work environment.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as may be required.
  • Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Basic skills in project planning and management, judgment, decision-making, and problem solving.
  • Ability to be creative in achieving objectives while assuring compliance to internal and external requirements.
  • Strong influencing skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and ability to translate complex information to multiple levels of stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering or Physical Sciences.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in project management, ideally in medical device or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Experience with project management software (Microsoft Project, etc.) an asset.
