Adecco is currently recruiting for a Project Manager. This is a full-time permanent role to work with our client located in Ottawa, ON.
Ideal Candidate must have a security clearance or be eligible for one (Reliability Status). 
The Project Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead projects that directly impact organization’s financial and corporate objectives
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams comprised of technical specialists, functional specialists, business subject-matter experts and external stakeholders
  • Have significant contacts with various internal and external stakeholder groups and be responsible for strategic stakeholder communication and engagement
  • Ensure effective project delivery, risk mitigation, and resource planning, as well as management and compliance to policies, processes and standards
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and the development and rollout of project management methodologies, tools and techniques
  • The Project Manager must meet the following mandatory requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
  • Project management qualification (PMP) or equivalent 
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering medium to large projects and initiatives, preferably in a matrixed environment 
  • Project management expertise, including methodologies, tools and best practices 
  • Experience with cross-functional teams and multiple departments 
  • Experience in cross functional facilitation, negotiation and building collaborative relationships 
  • Experience estimating costs for work being proposed and validating the estimates of others 
  • Experience in change management 
  • Experience with managing technology projects, including using Agile methodology 
  • Experience producing reports on project key performance indicators including project milestones, deliverables, people, financials, schedule, risks and issues 
  • Excellent writing skills to draft procedures, business cases and reports, prepare, review or contribute to project document deliverables for senior management 
  • Knowledge of Agile development and user experience, programming and integration concepts, design, procedures and practice, including the SAFe Agile framework 
  • Knowledge of Project management software tools such as MS Project 
  • Estimation and budgeting of OPEX and CAPEX budgets 
  • Contracting processes, including technical proposals (RFI, RFQ, RFP, etc.) Canadian Civil Aviation subject-area and the rules, regulations and standards related to the provision of air navigation services
