Adecco is currently recruiting for a full time permanent Purchaser in Edmonton, AB. The Purchaser will be responsible for receiving and coordinating all procurement functions in a timely and accurate manner. Our client is a well established mechanical/plumbing contractor who has been servicing the Alberta market for over 50 years. They are offering an extremely competitive salary, 3 weeks’ vacation, great hours and company paid 50/50 split benefits.
Purchaser – Responsibilities:

Receiving and coordinating material requests
Sending material information as required and evaluating quotes
Coordinating deliveries
Monitoring back-orders
Procurement of employee tools, fixtures and required products


The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2-4 years of direct related experience working in a Purchaser role ideally for a mechanical contractor
A team player who is self motivated and seeking a long term career opportunity
Well organized with strong negotiation and customer service skills
Strong computer skills with the ability to multi-task
