QA Director Responsibilities:

The QA Director is a change agent driving continuous improvement of the divisions’ business processes to exceed customer expectations, improve product quality and business performance.
The QA Director works within the division innovate and continuously align quality of product, processes, lessons learned, employee engagement and customer satisfaction. The QA Director is a visionary who will lead quality improvements of the Business Process System while maintaining compliance to industry external standards AS9100 and AS9000.
The QA Director provides technical leadership for quality focusing on project execution, manufacturing processes and realization of design. The QA Director manages the budget, certification and development plans of a team of QA staff. The QA Director maintains a qualified supplier base to meet business needs. Continuous Improvement Advocacy for Quality.
Define and document quality best practices to be competitive and better respond to market needs while ensuring company compliance with industry external standards.
Ensures the usage and procurement of up-to-date tools within the department.
Manage QA requirements on each project to meet external and customer requirements and ensure projects are adhering to those set requirements.
Provide independent review of project and engineering execution to increase early risk identification and mitigation Division Quality Leadership


QA Director Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum 12 years of experience and currency in relevant technical and business fields. • Minimum 2 years in Product or Quality Assurance in Aerospace Engineering
A strong understanding of design, manufacturing and fabrications processes
Strives to find the best processes for a dynamically changing organization using innovative technical solutions and external industry standards
Proven change management approach that engages the organization, other divisions and customers
Demonstrated leadership ability that includes effective communication, interpersonal, motivating and negotiating skills to operate effectively with all with all organizational work experience
Familiarity with quality standards (AS9100 & AS9000) requirements
Lean Six Sigma
