Adecco is currently hiring for a full-time Quality Advisor to work a long term-contract at a one of Canada's largest petroleum refiners in Fort McMurray, AB.  In this role, you will be conducting functional assurance on multiple projects to confirm that Project Team (PT) activities are meeting the overall Quality and Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) goals and objectives.

  • Location: Fort McMurray, AB
  • Shifts: 14days on – 14 days off
  • Flights (including Calgary and Edmonton) and acommodation  are included
  • Job type: Full-time | Long-Term Contract
  • Duties and Responsibilities:

  • On-going oversight of project quality execution
  • Ensure audits of Contractors, Suppliers and PT are scheduled and conducted
  • Steward audit findings to resolution and closure in a timely manner
  • Utilize Quality Management expertise to support Quality Manager
  • Develop early Project Management System deliverables/plans
  • Set expectations and provide input to staffing plan
  • Provide Quality Management execution processes and supporting tools
  • Provide support with complex quality issues
  • Provide Quality input to project planning efforts
  • Assist with interfaces and coordination between Quality and other disciplines
  • Coordinate Quality management activities to ensure consistency across the Project
  • Administer the staffing of project Quality resources to projects
  • Provide orientation and ongoing training of project Quality staff
  • Identify opportunities to support project needs
  • Perform periodic audits and assessments and coordinate peer reviews
  • Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Technical discipline training/certifications are required
  • Recognized Auditor Qualification with demonstrable experience in participating in audits is required
  • Minimum five years of experience executing project construction or quality assurance/control is needed
  • Experience overseeing QA/QC of civil/earthworks related projects is a must
  • Previous experience representing project owners/sites is also a must
  • Should have a deep understanding of Quality Assurance principles and a process-based approach to managing Quality
  • Willingness to travel (domestic/overseas) to project sites is a must
  • Must have a clear criminal background
  • Should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
