Quality Assurance Inspector

Adecco is currently hiring a Quality Assurance Inspector for our client in Ottawa East. This is a 1 year contract opportunity offering full time hours, Monday-Friday. Hourly rate of pay is between $23-$25.

Our client is recognized worldwide for its innovative contributions to equipment health management in the aviation, energy, marine, industrial and transportation industries. Their products and services add value throughout the life cycle of complex critical equipment from the design stage through to in-service operations and support. They design, manufacture, and support advanced equipment sensing and analysis products, including on-line oil debris sensors, torque measurement sensors, turbine blade health sensors, and at-line oil analysis systems.

Based in Ottawa, Ontario, as part of the Quality Assurance team, the Quality Assurance Inspector will report to the Director, Quality and Continuous Improvement and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on the quality control inspections of products.

Quality Assurance Inspector Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality control inspections on products according to company quality procedures and workmanship standards (ex. Incoming, in-process and final inspection of mechanical and electronic piece parts and assemblies’ inspections)
  • Completes necessary quality control documentation
  • Assists in training new inspectors as assigned
  • Participate in team quality meeting(s) and provide feedback to team on issues identified after troubleshooting
  • Take part in training and certification programs to stay current
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Quality Assurance Inspector Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in an electronics inspection related role in a high reliability manufacturing environment
  • College Diploma or Undergraduate degree (Science, Engineering or related discipline)
  • Knowledge of AS9100 Quality System Requirements
  • Familiar with IPC A 600 – Acceptability of Printed Circuit Boards
  • Worked with IPC 610 A (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) is preferred
  • Strong understanding and application of workmanship standards
  • Great understanding and application of quality standards and control procedures
  • High motivation with results-oriented focus
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Detail oriented and quality conscious
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (NATO Level Clearance)
