Adecco is currently seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance Technician to join our clients team for a Temporary role in Cobourg, ON. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $25 to $26.50 Per Hour, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring product quality and food safety compliance throughout the production process.

  • Pay rate: $25-$26.50/hour.
  • Location: Cobourg, ON
  • Shifts: Monday-Friday Rotating shifts
    • 7:00am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm and 11:00pm-7:00am
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities: As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will:
  • Provide assistance in areas of product quality and food safety during production and in noncompliance situations.
  • Conduct investigations for consumer complaints, ensuring swift resolution.
  • Inspect and test food quality, plant environment, and documentation to uphold industry standards.
  • Calibrate quality measurement equipment in the laboratory to maintain accuracy.
  • Track and coordinate approvals to streamline processes.
  • Prepare weekly reports to monitor quality metrics and trends.
Requirements:
  • Be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Possess a 4-year university degree or equivalent experience in chemistry, microbiology, math, statistics, or food science.
  • Have at least 3 years of production experience, preferably in food production, with knowledge of manufacturing processes, GMPs, food safety, GLPs, sanitation, statistics, and lab techniques.
  • Hold experience in Food Systems, audit experience, and PCQI certification (preferred).
