Detailed Job Description: As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Performing quality control functions including incoming, first article, and field returns inspection.
- Approving or rejecting incoming materials based on specifications and conducting necessary tests.
- Managing product packaging and designing specialized crating for DC & AC Power and Thermal products.
- Communicating with product planners, engineers, and suppliers regarding product validations.
- Monitoring and improving key supply chain KPIs, including OTD.
- Resolving supplier technical issues to ensure a continuous supply of materials.
- Processing freight claims and warranty returns efficiently.
- Utilizing data analysis and 8D problem-solving for process improvement.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders and effectively prioritizing assignments.
Candidate's Profile: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- Technical Degree or similar experience.
- Proficiency in data analysis, performance metrics, and 8D problem-solving. Six Sigma (DAMIC) experience is a plus.
- Strong quality control, warehousing, and logistic understanding.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office. Smart Sheet experience is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with MRP, and EDI systems (Oracle is preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Ability to lift 50lbs. occasionally and perform physical tasks.
