Adecco is currently recruiting for a Receptionist / Administrative Assistant for a 2-Month contract with our Crown Corporation Client in Esquimalt, BC. The successful candidate must hold a valid Enhanced Reliability Clearance or be eligible for it.
The Receptionist / Administrative Assistant will have the following responsibilities:
-    Respond to telephone and electronic inquiries, and record and relay telephone calls and messages
-    Greet visitors; ascertain nature of business and direct visitors to appropriate person.
-    Process, distribute and send incoming/outgoing regular and electronic mail and other materials, and ensure the flow of information internally and with other departments and organizations
-    Respond to internal/external inquiries and correspondence; ensure follow up, as required
-    Maintain electronic and manual filing systems
-    Maintain inventory of office supplies and order supplies, as required
-    Perform clerical duties, as required
-    Maintain front desk security
-    Service office equipment and arrange for servicing in the case of major repairs
-    Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Program, in conjunction with management, and may act as a Representative or member of a local Committee
-    Comply with policies, procedures, regulations and applicable legislation
-    Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
The Receptionist / Administrative Assistant must meet the following mandatory requirements:
-    High school diploma AND some years of experience in administration or a related field OR An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered
-    Experience in office administration
-    Experience in maintaining electronic and manual filing systems
-    Experience in data entry, data manipulation, record-keeping and retrieval techniques
-    Experience in using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail and internet browsing
-    Knowledge of office administration practices and procedures
-    Knowledge of filing systems and records management
-    Knowledge of time management techniques
-    Competencies: client service, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork, leadership
