Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, part-time Refrigeration Operator - Class B to work directly for our client located in Mississauga, ON. In this role, you will be reporting to the Director of Operations, you will maintain, test, and troubleshoot the industrial ammonia refrigeration systems at the Etobicoke location.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish refrigeration safety and maintenance practices for multiple facilities, including a new recently opened plant.
Conduct required operational inspection of refrigeration equipment checking refrigerant, oil, glycol, and water condition to meet TSSA standards.
Inspect condensers, evaporators, valves, piping, insulation, pumps and panels and ensure monitoring/testing of all steam generating requirements by operation code.
Perform all necessary equipment checks as it pertains to safe and efficient operations of the ammonia systems
Maintain organized, accurate and current preventative maintenance schedules, logbooks and relevant documentation as required by TSSA and CIFA.
Interface with necessary contractual and inspection departments for corrective/legal requirements
Carry out oral/printed work requests and apply corrective measures in a timely fashion utilizing computerized maintenance system.
Maintain accurate records of safe management, operations, and maintenance through compliance.
Improve plant efficiency by reporting on operating conditions of equipment, determine operating window, and helping to develop and maintain a maintenance program.
Troubleshoot any mechanical breakdown relating to the Operations and Logistics Department to ensure minimal loss in manufacturing of our products.
Work with our clients other departments to ensure a productive team environment and the continuous improvement of the plant processes and operations.
Understand all operating procedures of our facilities processing equipment and provide required maintenance. Lead and participate in plant equipment repairs/installations as needed.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by ensuring plant and powerhouse are operating in accordance with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (T.S.S.A.)
Ensure all work performed complies with governing practices, codes, and regulations.
Fulfill all Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, WHIMS and MSDS requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
Class B Refrigeration Operator License, required
3+ years’ experience in Industrial Ammonia based refrigeration system
Responsible for compliance to Health and Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety and Environmental Standards at all times.
A strong desire to work as part of a team providing excellent service to our customers every day
An ability to work in a physically demanding environment – handling heavy loads, refrigeration, and freezers, lifting up to 50lbs.
Good leadership skills, strong decision-making qualities, and ability to work under pressure.
Attention to detail, good hand-eye co-ordination, mechanically inclined.
Good communication skills, both written and spoken
