Reliability Engineer in Peterborough, ON
Adecco’s client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability Engineer to join their team on their mining operation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our mining operations, equipment, and processes. As a Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving the reliability and efficiency of our assets while minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Reliability Engineer Responsibilities Are:
Asset Reliability Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of mining equipment, machinery, and processes to identify areas for improvement in reliability and performance.
Root Cause Analysis: Investigate equipment failures and operational issues to determine the root causes and develop effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
Maintenance Strategy: Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies, including preventive and predictive maintenance programs, to optimize asset reliability.
Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor equipment health, identify trends, and make data-based decisions to enhance reliability.
Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA): Perform FMEA on critical equipment to identify potential failure modes, their effects, and establish mitigation plans.
Reliability Metrics: Define and track key reliability metrics and KPIs to measure and report on the performance of mining assets.
Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve mining processes, equipment, and maintenance practices.
Reliability Engineering Tools: Utilize reliability engineering tools such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to equipment reliability, maintenance activities, and improvement projects.
Training: Provide training and support to maintenance and operations teams to ensure the proper execution of reliability strategies.
Reliability Engineer Qualifications Are:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
7 years of experience in reliability engineering within the mining or heavy industrial sector.
Strong knowledge of mining equipment and processes.
Proficiency in reliability analysis tools and techniques.
Familiarity with maintenance management software.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Proven ability to work in a safety-conscious manner.
