Adecco is currently recruiting for a full-time Reporting Analyst in Calgary, AB, to work a long-term contract at a well-established energy company majoring in the production of synthetic crude from oil sands. In this role, you will be responsible for the completion and distribution of reporting and analysis requirements of varying increments to support the company’s Wholesale Direct Sales and Operations Teams. In addition, this position will prepare and analyze reports and will be responsible for the development and maintenance of advanced analytics tools and support economic analysis for strategic initiatives. Shifts: Monday – Friday; 8 AM – 5 PM

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, produce and analyze KPIs and incremental reports to support Wholesale Direct Sales and Operations teams
Collaborate with all Wholesale teams to identify and validate requirements
Configure and troubleshoot data using advanced analytical tools to create accurate outputs
Interpret data to enable solid business decision-making and make recommendations that enables Wholesale Sales and Support and business partners to become more cost-efficient
Assist in implementing recommendations for continuous improvement across process & technology enablement function
Implement and maintain reporting process documentation and procedures
Design, test, implement and maintain advanced metrics and predictive models using statistical techniques to contribute to strategy and decisions across all areas within Wholesale.
Requirements and Qualifications:
University or college degree in engineering, business, finance, mathematics or computer science is needed
3 years of business experience in data science is a must
Experience in the configuration of applications for advanced analytics (e.g. Power BI, Power Platform)
Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills are required, VBA is an asset
Experience with SQL, R, Python or other similar languages is an asset
Oil & Gas industry experience is preferred
Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills both written and oral
Process oriented with strong reasoning, problem-solving, creative thinking, and communication skills
Strong business acumen
Well-organized with strong attention to detail
Able to meet tight deadlines and juggle competing priorities while managing time appropriately
Required to readily adapt to changing environments and operational situations
Self-starter, with a passion for continuous improvement and optimization
Knowledge in statistical inference, probabilistic modeling, optimization & simulation preferred
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
